CHAMPIONS !!! Aishling Murphy Cup Winners 2025 played in the new open air Dome in the Connacht COE .

Ava Lynskey stole the show with her tireless leadership un-relenting to win at all stages and indeed throughout the year in all our games. She scored at will, ran through the QUB defense constantly and was a terrific captain all year for the college,. Cathy Fogarty majestic at 6 all year had to sacrifice her own game to go to the edge of the square where we were having major problems with the Queens full forward causing difficulty scoring two against the run of play goals. The woman from Offaly went to 3 and that was it from the Queens danger woman with Cathy contesting every ball and using her guile to prevail. Emma Fitzgerald moved to 6 and with her brilliance in sweeping always where the danger was earning her a player of the match award . Congrats EMMA . Kate Kilcreast in goals was excellent with her puckouts, saves and relieving clearances so natural a camogie player in ability. Ciara O Sullivan and Ailbhe Mulry were sublime tackling hard and commanding their battles. Ailbhe Gannon (Meath) stood out yet again with her up field solo's transiting defense into attack always, and so in charge of her spot always confidently striding forward,. Maria Mahony (Castlegar) worked tirelessly and always showed up to snuf out danger when needed and her high catching was a joy to watch. Our two extraordinary mid fielders Aoibhe Joyce and Abbie Massey are so competent and efficient in defense and attack both scoring at will with Aoibhe magnificent from placed balls throughout the championship. Niamh Mahony (Killimor) was amazing from throw in to final whistle a real hard worker with a selfless teamplay streak always and a battling quality so necessary to succeed . Our Mooncoin lady Ellen O Keeffe was great at 14, holding up ball and making play for teammates around her. Aishling Black (Maree Oranmore) thrived when she was deployed further out the field collecting breaking ball, striking and carrying as needed. Ciara Burke and Nessa Daly both our wing forwards also worked tirelessly always showing up when needed further back in defense and never giving up with handling skills so evident of years with a hurl in the hand.

Emma McKeogh, Chloe Reidy, Holly Kehoe all contributing to our success and were on the field of play when the final whistle sounded.

Scholarship holder Shannon Corcoran (Sarsfields) and Sinead Hastings (Ruan Clare) wre injured for this years championship but always supported and turned up and are a valued part of the ATU Sporting Camogie family .
