What a Night in UL for Round 2 of the Moynihan League! ????

What a night we had down in UL for Round 2 of the Ladies Gaelic Football Moynihan League! Despite the miserable weather conditions, the ATU girls showed incredible heart, determination, and skill to come away with a fantastic win.

From the very first whistle, both sides showed real intent, trading scores in what was a fiercely contested opening half. ATU made the most of their chances in front of goal, with some brilliant link-up play and clinical finishing. At half time, the scoreboard read ATU 3-03, UL 1-04, leaving everything to play for in the second half.

After the break, ATU really found their rhythm. The defence stood strong, turning over possession time and again, while the forwards were simply on fire—converting opportunities into goals and points with confidence and flair. The teamwork, communication, and relentless work rate across the field were a joy to watch, especially given the challenging conditions underfoot.

As the rain poured ATU never took their foot off the pedal. They dominated the final quarter, adding an impressive tally to seal a comprehensive victory. The game finished ATU 6-13, UL 2-06, a score line that reflected the girls’ determination and all-around performance.

Massive congratulations to our ATU ladies on another outstanding performance — a brilliant result that keeps momentum rolling in the Moynihan League campaign!
