Do I need to have kayaked before?
Nope! Not at all. beginners are more than welcome!
How much does it cost?
All the of the lake sessions and most of the river sessions are free. Pool sessions are €3
What equipment do I need?
All you need is swimming togs and shoes you don't mind getting wet. The club provides everything else

Join us for the biggest event of the year! The 24 hour paddle is what the kayak club members look forward to all year. Do you like having fun with your friends? Do you like free food and drink? Do you like to show support for your fellow college peers? If the answer to any of those is a yes then you should definitely come along to the 24 hour paddle! You can participate or support, completely up to you. 

We will be meeting at 9 am on Saturday the 9th of May at Lough Lannagh where this event will take place. you can drop by at any time between 9am on Saturday and 9am on Sunday. Whether you are getting on the water, there to give support or just coming for the free food, we can not wait to see you there. 

If you intend on participating remember to bring a swimsuit and a towel, along with some footwear that can get wet!!

About Kayaking & Canoeing Club

The Kayak club are one of the biggest clubs in college who cater for all levels from absolute beginner to top class paddlers.

Beginners can learn from the comfort of the indoor pool at Lough Lannagh Leisure Complex and progress to serene & beautiful Lough Lannagh itself, right beside the college and on to the next step of the many wonderful rivers on our doorstep – an exhilarating activity taking you to the most beautiful places in the country – what's stopping you???
